Pre-Hershey Updates

The big East Coast shows are going on in these two weeks.  Then, just after Hershey, the ABS will be having it’s national meet highlighting the 75th anniversary of the BRC.  I hope you’ll have a chance to at least enjoy one of these events.

Before I head off to Pennsylvania for the shows, I wanted to give you an update of the Ebay landscape

American Austin:

Radiator / Grile shellBadge:

NOTE:  the retaining clip in the back appears to be missing and has been replaced with something that lends the impression that this may have been soldered onto a grille shell at one time or another.

Bantam:

WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM TRICO P-1221 1938-1940 AMERICAN BANTAM

“This is an original windshield wiper arm as used on cars from the early 1930’s to the early 1940’s with the motor mounted inside the car.

It has the chrome enclosed retainer for the grooved-cross-drilled motor shaft on one end and the saddle clip for the P-778 wiper blade on the other end. It would be Trico P-1221.

It measures 7 5/8 inches on centers, and 7 3/4” overall.

The only application I could find is 7 1/2” long:

1938-40 American Bantam 60, 62, 65 Open cars.

There may be other applications.”
