1930 American Austin Hot Rod – CA


“Old School” Street Rod style, some of its modification are listed below.  Custom built tubular frame stretched to 100 inches.  1951 Ford 239 cubic inch flathead motor with Offenhauser accessories driving through a matching 3 speed transmission. The front and rear axles are 1939 Ford with hydraulic brakes. The rear axle has been converted to an open driveshaft and is sprung with Posies “semi-elliptical” springs. 16 inch Coker tires on powder coated Steel wheels finish out the driveline. Steering is done through a Vega steering box. A custom 9 gallon aluminum fuel tank is mounted behind the seat. Interior includes a 1949 ford dash with a Desoto speedometer. Tom Sewell trimmed seats and panels. Overhead gauges and “woody style” headliner. A removable steering wheel makes entry easier for us old guys. Roll down windows, kick out front windshield and a working cowl vent make those warmer days and nights a little more comfortable.

This is a fresh build with less than 500 miles on the clock. All lights and accessories work. Lots of fun and future trophies come with this little hot rod.
