1938 American Bantam Roadster Body for Sale

For sale: 1938 American Bantam body. 95% complete. With Title.

This is a very restorable American Bantam Roadster body. All of the sheet metal is there except one rocker panel and most of the firewall. The firewall can be rebuilt fairly easily. The body includes a modified frame and the following items:

Front and rear main body sections – Only bottom of cowl needs patching. Rear section is very solid, even below where the spare tire sits. Most of the wood on top of the rear deck is still there.

Cowl patch panels (from model A Ford)

New floor pans (some surface rust)

Front fenders – will need some work, but very repairable

Front fender support braces – includes the large braces under the headlights and the stamped braces at the lower rear of the fenders

Rear fenders – very solid. Appear to have had fender skirts at one time

Pair of non-Bantam headlights

Grill – very nice correct 15 bar grill

Front clip support bracket

Inner front fenders – Louvered type

Doors – very solid and straight – no door hinges or sills

Door latches – missing handles (do have braces)

Door opening trim – missing one of the 6 pieces

Early Hood with stainless trim

Complete new roadster wood set (17 pieces total – Sells for $700 – piece over rear axle not shown)

Everything you see in the pictures comes with this body. Some Chassis parts and other parts available to buyer.

Local pickup only or can be delivered up to a couple hundred miles for a fee. Located 20 miles north of Chattanooga, TN
